Receive a free PS Vita when you buy a new contract mobile phone in the UK.

It’s now possible to get a free PlayStation Vita with mobile phones on contract at many leading online mobile retailers. Deals are available on all leading networks, including Orange, Vodafone, T-Mobile, O2 and 3.

The PS Vita is the latest portable gaming system from Sony. The Vita has a multi-touch 5-inch organic light emitting display (OLED) and multi-touch pad on the rear. It also has two digital cameras (front and rear), three motion sensors, a gyroscope, an accelerometer and an electronic compass. This next generation PlayStation portable also has Wi-Fi and 3G network connectivity to take your gameplay to the next level by allowing you to interact with other gamers online. In addition to the new software titile, the Vita can play PSP titles, minis, PS one classics, video and comics from the PlayStation Store.

If you like to get one of these PS Vitas for free, you can do so when you buy a new mobile phone on contract in the UK. Many retailers have been giving away free gifts with phones for a few years and obviously with the PS Vita being one of the most sought after new gaming devices, it’s now also offered as a free gift with many mobile deals. The shops which currently offer the Sony PlayStation Vita as gift online include high street names like Carphone Warehouse and Phones4U, as well as online retailers like BuyMobiles and Affordable Mobiles.

A very good website to compare all free PS Vita + mobile phone deals is www.freepsvitamobilephones.co.uk. They allow you to search the offers available in all mobile phone shops. You can enter your contract requirement (i.e. free minutes, texts, duration, line rental cost) and they’ll display the cheapest free ps Vita deals matching your criteria.

When looking for a cheap and value for money deal, please be advised though that you’ll get much more the same price when you select a handset which has already been in the market for a few months. What we mean by this is that assuming both for are free as well, you’ll get many more minutes and texts when you buy a slightly older phone than when you buy a newly released handset. Also, the free PlayStation Vita deals will be more competitive on longer contract durations than on shorter ones.

When you’ll received your Sony Vita will depend on the retailer, but most of them will post in in 1 or 2 days together with your phone. With a few of them you may need to wait a few weeks. The website mentioned above also lets you compare the delivery policies when you follow the delivery link.

Get a free tablet pc when you buy a new UK contract mobile phone.

You can now get a free tablet pc with a contract mobile phone in the UK. To be more competitive, many phone shops have been giving away free gifts when you buy a new contract mobile for years. The popularity of the tablet pc means they’re now offering these for free as well.

There’s a wide choice of free tablet PCs to choose one. The Apple iPad 2 is probably the most popular one at the moment, and is available in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB storage size. BlackBerry also has it’s own tablet offering, the Black Berry Playbook. If on the other hand you’re looking for tablets that run the Android operating system, you can get the Motorola Xoom, LG Optimus, Samsung Galaxy Tab, HTC Flyer and a few others. All of them allow you to browse the web, watch videos, read e-books, listen to music, run apps, play games and much more. The main difference between the tablets is their screen size, memory, processor and operating system.

You can look for the best free tablet + mobile phone deals at www.mobilephoneswithfreetablets.co.uk. This website shows all the contract mobile offers available with the free tablet of your choice. You can select the phone you like or just search by contract requirements (e.g. free minutes and texts) to find the deal that’s best for you. It’s worth noting though the you’ll get the cheapest deals when you select a mobile phone that has been released for a while, and not one that is top of the range.

Within the tablet you can select for free, you’ll also have to select how much storage space you prefer. Obviously, more space will mean a slightly more expensive deal. If you’re mainly going to browse the internet, than you’re fine with 16GB or the lowest space. If you want to use your tablet to listen to music, view photos, watch and record videos, than you’re likely to need more space. Another key choice is whether to go for the Wi-Fi only or Wi-Fi + 3G free tablet model. Tablets with Wi-Fi + 3G functionality let you connect to the Internet via any WiFi connection as well as via a 3G mobile network. Please note though that a lot of the latest smartphones will allow you to share their 3G connection with your tablet via WiFi or bluetooth, allowing you to still connect a Wi-Fi only tab to 3G.

Contract deals are currently available on all UK networks: Orange, T-Mobile, Vodafone, O2 and 3, while the range of tablets available as a free gift grows every week. These deals are definitely great value, whether you want a Motorola, Apple, HTC, BlackBerry or LG tablet pc yourself or want to buy one as a gift for someone else.

Ofcom regulation ensures you can buy mobile phones on 12 month contracts in the UK again. 12 month contract deals now available on Vodafone and on all networks by May 2011.

Ofcom, the independent regulator and competition authority for the UK communications industry, has made it possible the you can buy phones on 12 month mobile contracts again in the United Kingdom. From the end of May 2011, “contract lengths must not exceed 24 months and consumers should have the option to subscribe to a 12 month contract“. This is because Ofcom is enforcing the European Telecoms Package and made in into UK law. This is obviously great news for anyone who like to keep up-to-date with the latest handsets and smartphones, or who like to benefit from all the best deals on offer.

Of the major networks, Vodafone has been the first one to introduce 12 month contract tariffs again on their network from £35/month with 300 minutes and a free mobile phone handset. Talk Mobile has been offering some deals on contracts for 12 months as well from £15.32/month with 100 minutes and a free handset. By the end of May though, the other major UK networks (Orange, T-Mobile, Three and O2) will also be offering 12 month tariffs to be in-line with the Ofcom regulation. I’m sure the mobile phone manufacturers will be pleased with this regulation as well as it’s bound to increase the turn-around of handsets in the UK and Europe.

For the best and cheapest mobile phone deals on 12 month contracts, we suggest you visit www.12monthcontractphones.co.uk. This easy to use website will let you search for the best value deals with 12 month contracts available by phone (e.g. Nokia N8, Samsung Galaxy S, iPhone 4 or Blackberry Torch) or network. They compare the prices of all leading online mobile phone retailers, so you can find the contract deal that’s best suited to you, based on the amount of free minutes or free texts you like or monthly line rental you’d want to pay. Most 12 months contract deals currently include the handset for free, though with some (especially the ones with low monthly line rental and latest smartphones) there will be a charge for the phone.

It’s worth noting though that on average, 18 and 24 month contracts will normally work out cheaper. This is obviously because the networks will have a longer commitment from you to stay with them (and pay your line rental to them every month) which means they can normally subsidise the phones more, or give you more free minutes for the same line rental. Nevertheless, we feel that the re-introduction of 12 month mobile phone contracts was long overdue, and it gives the cosumer the choice to change their handsets every year if they like.

Get a free Nintendo 3DS gaming system with a contract mobile phone in the UK.

You can now get your hands on a free Nintendo 3DS when you buy a contract mobile phone deal in the UK. This means you can save £229.99 (the RRP of the Nintendo3DS) and with most of the offers you’ll get your mobile handset free too. Hence you’ll only pay for your contract line rental each month.

The 3DS is the revolutionary new gaming system from Nintendo, and the fourth in its DS range. What really sets the 3DS apart from the other handheld game systems in the market is that it lets you experience incredible gameplay featuring real 3D graphics … without the need for any special glasses or additional accessories. Yes, the improved 3.02″ LCD display of the Nintendo 3DS presents a glasses-free 3D effect on compatible games by allocating 400 pixels to each eye. This gives objects within the gameworld a feeling of depth and space that extends far into the back of the screen. Using the built-in 3D depth slider you can also adjust the intensity of the 3D settings on the 3DS system to your liking.

Portable play control is enhanced through the Nintendo Motion and Gyro Sensors. Together they allow for new and unique gameplay mechanics as the 3DS reacts to real-time motion and tilt meaning motion-compatible games respond instantly when you move the system up or down or twist it to the side. The Nintendo 3DS system also includes two outer cameras which allow for the creation of 3D photos with a similar effect to that seen in Nintendo3DS games.

The recommended UK retail price at launch is £229.99, though retailers like Amazon are taking pre-orders £196.99. However, you can get a Nintendo 3DS totally free if you like when you buy a new contract mobile phone. Various mobile phone shops which offer free gifts with their mobile phone deals are now offering the Nintendo3DS as free gift as well. We can recommend a website called www.freenintendo3dsmobilephones.co.uk. This website lets you search through all free 3DS deals available in the UK. You can just look for the cheapest deal (often with older mobile handsets), or, if there’s a specific phone you want, you can find all the offers with the phone + free Nintendo 3ds. There’s offers available on all networks, including Vodafone, O2, T-Mobile, 3 and Orange. If you have specific contract preferences, such as contract duration, free minutes/texts or maximum line rental cost, you can enter these as well when looking for the best deal.

For more information on the system just check out the official Nintendo 3DS website where you find the full specifications as well as great videos and game clips which demonstrate the cool features of their new gaming system. The launch date is March 27th 2011, though the mobile phone deals mentioned in this blog post are already available now. This means you’ll get the 3DS for free and delivered on launch date. If you read this article after the launch, you’ll get your free gift delivered with your phone next day (or a few days after with some retailers).

So, whether you want to buy the Nintendo 3DS for yourself, or, as a gift, these offers are definitely worth checking out. Certainly if your current mobile contract is close to expiring and you want to buy a new mobile phone anyway. As always, feedback is welcome.

UK Contract Prices for the Sony Ericsson Vivaz announed

The Vivaz is Sony Ericsson’s new flagship multimedia phone, and contract prices for the Vivaz have now been announed. We looked at the current best deals available across the 4 major networks.

On Vodafone, this Sony Ericsson phoneis available for free with 300 minutes from £25 per month with the deal including 15 months half price rental. On the Orange (400 minutes) and O2 (300 minutes) you’ll get the Vivaz for FREE for the same monthly cost, though only with 11 months half price rental. And finally the best deal on T-Mobile gives you the handset + 600 minutes for free when you sign up for 24 months, pay £25 / month line rental and receive 5 months free line rental back.

The Vivaz is really great phone for people why love to use their mobile for taking pictures (comes with 8.1 MegaPixels camera on board) or watch, record and share videos (it’s one of the first phones to support HD video recording). The size of the phone is still reasonably small compared to others that have similar features on board.

You can find the best Sony Ericsson Vivaz deals here, and also read some reviews.

Here’s a good handson review:

First hand review of the Samsung Diva S7070 UK version. Access to great deals as well.

We managed to get our hands on the new Samsung Diva (S7070) which was launched this month in the UK.

First impressions are that this is a very glamorous phone, with its embossed quilted back cover, crystal diamond button and pearl white finish … certainly appealing to the female and fashion conscious audience. The Diva’s price is also very reasonable as you’ll notice from comparing the contract and PAYG Samsung Diva deals.

Looking under the cover you’ll see that the Diva’s user interface also received a girls touch with women-centric themes and fonts, exclusive features (like a shopping list tool). The S7070’s camera is a 3.2 megapixel camera with various fun beauty editing features. Integration with social networking sites like Facebook and MySpace is also seamless, and instant messaging capability is also on board. Another cool and new Diva mobile phone feature is the SOS message and fake call feature that’ll allow you to get out of unsafe or awkward situations.

Hence the Samsung Diva is a great choice of phone for girls and women who like some glamour and are socially active.

The exclusive deal between Apple and O2 in the UK is running out and this week both Orange and Vodafone announced that they'll start selling 3G iPhone contract packages on their respective networks in the near future.

The exclusive deal between Apple and O2 in the UK is running out and this week both Orange and Vodafone announced that they’ll start selling 3G iPhone contract packages on their respective networks in the near future.

While no exact launch dates were given, with Orange this will probably be November/December 2009 (i.e. in time for the Christmas shopping rush), while Vodafone is likely to go live with the iPhone early 2010.

This marks the end of the official exclusive O2 and Apple partnership which meant that the UK consumers wanting to get their hands on an iPhone were limited to a choice of 1 when it came to choosing their mobile network.

While no information is available on the pricing models Vodaphone and Orange are going to offer, in all likeliness this is going to be good news for the UK consumer, as more competition means the prices are bound to go down.

We’ll obviously keep you posted when we get news of the actual releases dates and information on the deals the other networks are planning to offer on iPhone contracts.
